About Me

‘Where is Samm? ‘

The burning question that constantly haunts my parents, family and friends while me, also known as Sam is gallivanting around the world.

After writing hundreds of travel recommendation emails and constantly having the recipient write back saying, “you should write a blog about this”.. Here I am.

My travel style is totally DYI

In between the crazy space of travel blogging, I hope to create some room, by covering destinations which are unique, and planning trips for relatively shorter time spans.. not months and months which realistically not too many people can do.

As much as I would love to cover a luxury travel market (who wouldn’t?), I pay for my own travel (read unsponsored and totally organic)

My main focus is roaming, shopping and a lot of eating.

If you are looking for a blog that writes elaborately about the historical significance of monuments and structures, you have reached the wrong spot.

Do not pass go, do not collect 200 pounds… and if you did not get that, you are definitely on the wrong page.

About me

Best described as a Prada loving hippie, I am spectrum of emotions from prim and boring to a raging lunatic. My mind goes from being super focused and on top of everything to scatterbrain and goofy in 10 seconds.

I would like to believe that I am “jack-of-all-trades, master of none!”

Except travel of course, I would like to think I am a master at that.

Disclaimer: All trades do not include finance, politics or tech!

When I am not gallivanting the world, I work as a medical professional in Pune, India, with an amazing boss my dad, whose path I followed to become an Ophthalmologist .

I love the ocean, scuba, sunsets, rainbows, sand on my bum… even better if there is a cocktail in my hand…. Sipping red wine in really old towns, star gazing, looong road trips, talking to locals in a made up language or sign language which is actually frantic hand waving until someone gives in, shopping on the street, shopping in stores, shopping in general, sometimes it can be a little problem…

And of course I looooove food, more food, did I already say food?

I love nature, the creation and everything that goes with it, but put me in a tent in the forest with strange animal sounds or bugs and watch me running out faster and further than Forrest Gump!

What you will find here:

1. Travel advice you may find online anyway and a lot that you won’t.

2. No bull.. No sponsored sell out behavior and super real stuff.

3. A good mix of basic to some fancy depending on what our budgets allow us, but definitely no backpacker or hostels advise.

4. Some really bad jokes.
